The number of lumens, or the amount of visible light per time unit, has been increased to 46,000 and the very latest CREE LEDs have been used. With both improvements, the light emitted from the SK402 is at least 15% more powerful than that from the SK400. Another interesting change in the design is the use of the so-called Smart Power Supplies that can provide analytical data in the event of a failure. The most eye-catching innovation is probably the color, as the 402+ is the first Spectrum King model to come in white. The advantage of a white housing is that it reflects the light from adjacent lamps better than a black housing does. Just like the other models from Spectrum King, the SK402 + is also practically waterproof, so that the lamp is not hindered by spray water or sprinkling.
As usual, the Spectrum King technicians assume that natural sunlight is best for your plants, so that the SK 402+ 90˚ was also provided with a Full Spectrum light range. This means that the SK 402+ emits a white, sunlight-like light in which your plants feel perfectly at home during all life phases.
